Is the Tarkov region-locked?
Tarkov has purchase and launch region restrictions. Battlestate explicitly says the game can only be launched if you’re in the same region where it was purchased, with Europe being the big exception (EU purchases can launch worldwide). That’s different from who you can play with. You can still select servers and regions in the launcher, but your ability to launch the game can be tied to the purchase region.
How to get better ping in Escape From Tarkov?
Select servers with the lowest ping, use a stable connection (wired if possible), and avoid playing on far-away regions. Tarkov also has a ping limit. If your ping jumps too high, you can get kicked, and BSG has publicly said the ping limit exists and may change over time.
