Elon Musk has defied the Brazilian government court order to restrict X accounts and the fallout appears to be that he now faces a court inquiry and X is set to be banned in Brazil. The crux of the issue is that X was ordered to restrict accounts with criteria that were hidden from the public.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes' investigation into former president Jair Bolsonaro's attempted coup led to the initial court order which saw X under a gag order to issue stealth blocks and bans - while being forbidden to disclose which accounts were affected. X had been threatened with fines of roughly £16,000 a day for failure to comply.
Elon Musk has now decided to defy this ban and has begun releasing documents and conversations between Twitter/X and the Brazilian government. Musk stated that he is committed to reversing the previously agreed sanctions on accounts.
“We will probably lose all revenue in Brazil and have to shut down our office there. But principles matter more than profit,” said Musk.
With X being a very popular platform for sharing current events, news, and politics we have decided to pre-emptively strike ahead of the coming ban by providing free data quota upgrades to the people of Brazil.
(Nós obviamente não iriamos falar para você usar uma VPN, tipo o Windscribe, porque isso iria liberar o X, logo, seria contra você sabe quem)

Important Features
Anti-Censorship Feature - Circumvent Censorship
Windscribe is now the leading solution in the VPN space for beating censorship and authoritative filters.
We’ve recently seen great success in circumventing censorship in many of the toughest regions in the world. This is thanks to intense cat-and-mouse antics with various dictatorships, leading to us improving our methodology tenfold.
You can find the “Circumvent Censorship” toggle in preferences in the connection settings.
Anti-Traffic Correlation Attack Protection - Decoy Mode
Traffic Correlation Attacks allow those who own the networks you use to triangulate who and where an individual is even when using a VPN - based on usage patterns. You can use Decoy Mode when on the move using an Android device to mask your activity.
You can find the “Decoy Traffic” toggle in preferences in the connection settings.

What are Relief Codes?
Windscribe, as you might guess by now, is committed to promoting freedom of information and expression worldwide.
We recognize that, in many regions, governmental censorship and restrictions limit public access to essential online resources, infringing on citizens' rights to freely access and distribute information. Therefore, we are releasing a "Relief code" to give these individuals an opportunity to bypass such censorship.
We believe that everyone deserves unfiltered access to the internet, enabling them to make informed decisions, stay connected with loved ones, openly express their views, and access accurate and timely news about local events, issues, and safety measures.
This Relief Code is our way of supporting the global community in circumventing ever-increasing internet restrictions and surveillance. To allow Syria to stay connected with the rest of the free world.
Can I Use This Code From Outside That Region?
Our relief codes are designed to help people in war-torn and oppressive areas, where private and secure access to information and communication channels is under genuine and immediate threat. Some people, however, see fit to abuse these codes despite not being from the affected region or involved in the conflict and seek to make a quick buck by reselling accounts.
If you aren't the target demographic for any of these codes, we ask that you don't use them for your own gain. If you are thinking about abusing them for your own gain, we ask that you take a good long look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a stern talking to. If you still want to abuse them after this, then enjoy being a war profiteer, we guess?
How Are Locations Selected?
Windscribe has access to a comprehensive suite of tools for appraising connectivity across our network and globally. Using this tool, and some handy ones listed by our technical team, we can monitor the global state of connectivity.
We can roll out a Relief Code relatively quickly - but if you feel that your region has been neglected, you can raise this on our Twitter.
