BulletVPN, based in Tallinn, Estonia, recently announced that its operations are no longer sustainable and will shut down with immediate effect.
The VPN service, which has been in existence since 2014, has several thousand active users.
A statement on its website thanks its customers for their trust and support over the years and announces a complimentary offer from Windscribe to help support users during this transition.
Windscribe’s courtesy offer to BulletVPN is similar to when WeVPN went out of business in 2023.
Similar to last time, Windscribe is not acquiring BulletVPN nor announcing a formal partnership of any nature; it’s purely a goodwill gesture to affected VPN users with no strings attached.
Any former BulletVPN users with active subscriptions may avail 6 months of complimentary Windscribe Pro by reaching out to BulletVPN ([email protected]). The offer is valid until August 9, 2025.
"It was hard to take the decision to stop operations", said the founder of BulletVPN, who prefers to stay anonymous. "The silver lining was Windscribe making sure our users had VPN protection and were not left stranded".
